This has been going around the internet and I find it interesting and fun to think about it as a possibility. I think it's interesting how quickly people will think we are in another time line rather than think they have a faulty memory. I think they remember something a certain way when it is from a social or media influence. That being said, I am still open to the idea. I think I debunked the Mandela Effect and the Star Wars quote from Darth Vador where people are certain the movie said, "Luke, I am your father", but the movie says, "No, I am your father". I have a faint memory of noticing this in the past and being disappointed from the real quote. Here is my proof in this link dated 1/2/1998,This quote is found 1/3 of the way down the page. In 1998, this person made sure to to say she know Vader didn't say "Luke" in case anyone corrected her. This shows the author understood the real quote and that people do quote the movie inaccurately. It looks like people have only been thinking they remembered the quote in the movie, when actually they were remembering people quoting it the wrong way, and placing their memory of the quote into the movie itself. Now Berenstain/Berenstein seems to be more complicated. And I think I do have a fuzzy memory of noticing it said Berenstain many years ago and thinking everyone says Berenstein. That is very fuzzy memory but it is still there. That being said I saw someone post a pic of an old book that said "Berenstein" too.

I like Jesse Spots, and the idea of the mandela effect is very fun to think about. But this is some goofball stuff in this video.

Where I'm headed. Flat Earth & Mandela Effect. Jesse Spots
At 4:10 relates the Mandala Effect to experiencing God as gaslighting humans, something narcissists and psychopaths do to others. He goes on to explaining he doesn't see it that way.
Where I'm headed. Flat Earth & Mandela Effect. Jesse Spots
At 6:15 he says we can't even collectively put together an objective reality. He then uses The Interview With The Vampire as an example. He explains how minor this detail is and we can't even agree on it.
(my thoughts~ Maybe the problem is not being able to think objectively rather than there being nothing objective? That seems like a more simple explanation. Also, if we can't even agree on any objective reality how will people be able to organize their societies and defend themselves?)
Further on he says the newspaper and bowls he holds for the camera isn't sacred, the bowl could become a square tomorrow.
He then says, the message is that we shouldn't be surprised if those things happen. He doesn't think we should spend time arguing who is right and who is wrong. He then essentially says we shouldn't argue who is right or wrong because it will drive you totally bat-sh*t insane. He then says the message is to keep it loose. He says not to hold on to a rigid view of anything (presumably of an objective reality). He believes there's a book or two that won't change and will stay constant. He then says this is about spiritual growth and not who's right or wrong.
He then connects those thoughts, to how everyone was wrong about the globe and, yet we now realize it is flat.
He then talks about getting scientific with the Mandela Effect. (my thoughts~ Yet we shouldn't argue about who's right or wrong? What if one makes an argument that falsifies the theory? Well, the believer could just say we only live in a subjective reality and they have experienced a different reality than the other person. And no further discussion could be had about actual reality....)
He then says if you try to pull him into an argument about who's right or wrong he won't do it since it is useless. And the reason he won't argue, is because that is the whole point the universe, it is showing us this thing (the Mandela Effect).
My thoughts below~ He has 59 likes on this video and only 4 dislikes. Insanity is Sanity agrees in the comments section, he says, " agree with 100% of everything u said here brother thank you". I also see lots of positive comments. I find that name surreal in this context.
I believe this video I have embedded in this post proves the havoc the belief in the Mandela Effect, or his view of it, would have on the minds of individuals and society. It disturbs me so many of those people have cheered it on, apparently. Apparently they think it is more spiritual.
Biological organisms survive because their perception of reality is accurate enough to produce offspring, it works. And yet the video is saying we can't even agree on minor details such as a name of a movie having the word A or the word THE in it. He connects this to each of us having different subjective realities, and so to not even argue about which one really is true or what really happened?
Haha, and people cheer it on, amazing. That is what's amazing to me. The people who just eat up nonsense like that. I mean, it could make for a good story or thought experiment but his logic is not only self defeating, it wouldn't make for healthy individuals or a society if you cannot agree on minor things about reality.

These comments are from, Mandela Effect: Welcome to the Big Leagues, by Jesse Spots. In this video Jesse Spots is positive Staten Island was only accessible via a ferry and no bridge and that the island was further away from the mainland. Patricia Steere again essentially agrees with Jesse Spots, especially the focus being on bigger Mandela Effects such as changes in geography and national boundaries. Jesse Spots believes China used to be much larger. In another video he doesn't recall Mongolia existing and that area should be China according to his time line. Jesse Spots also says that New Zealand was North East of Australia and not South East of Australia as the maps show. I think the people who believe New Zealand was North East of Australia should also think about what they remember the climate to be. Because North East, would be more tropical. According to Jesse Spots geography, New Zealand would be closer to Papua New Guinea. Lord of the Rings was filmed in New Zealand, in areas that looked more like Europe than something you'd expect to find near Papua New Guinea. It interests me that flat earthers are starting to attach this to flat earth, the dome and God. It will be interesting to see how far this theory will inject itself into the flat earth community. Or will it fizzle out? Jesse Spots seems to think this shows the Christian God giving us clues. Jesse Spots also said this reminds him of the tower of babel, which is what I thought about previous to this video. But, I don't think this shows the biblical God doing this, I think this theory would fit in better with theological idealism, where we live in a dream of sorts. Which is something I have considered, but this dream is slowed down and given some consistent structure to provide predictability. Yet, with the Mandela Effect, what I have seen so far is people having an imperfect memory, along with others who are now becoming interested in maps and geography. I am most interested in where this takes flat earthers.

Yes, good YouTuber, although I don't know him enough yet to put him among my top flat earthers (not to be confused with the top 10 flat earthers, who go by the number of subscribers). But he's on my list of flat earth resources. I heard the videos, too. But the reasoning he proposes doesn't appeal to me as much as it does to you.

I am suspicious of the introduction of the mandela effect as it could cause similar confusion that's found in the story of the Tower of Babel. And since I think it is possible it could cause such confusion, I wonder what effect it would have on the flat earth carnival.
I also find it a fun idea personally, but I am interested in the social effects as well. Some people even say there's a psyop to make people disbelieve in their own memories, and in turn reject the mandela theory, in order to make people figure they simply misremembered (i.e. do what people normally would do). Rather, some say, people should accept their own memories as real in these cases because those memories were accurate in another time line.
Thus this would cause confusion in discussions about objective reality. Everyone would have their own subjective reality, (which would actually held as objective by each individual), because what they remembered actually did happen in the reality of their personal timeline. hahaha.

So, Mandela Effect theorists may say land masses and geography are remembered differently not because of an inaccurate memory, or ignorance, but because each individual is living their time line in their reality. Their differing memories are accurate because they were accurate according to their timeline.
So above, we have Jesse Spots saying the North Pole was previously a continent. New Zealand has moved. China used to be larger. Presumably China had taken up the area that is now Mongolia. The nation of Mongolia wasn't there before. He also seems to say Staten Island has moved closer to the mainland and there was never a bridge from the mainland to Staten Island.
I don't believe those things reflect the reality of the world we all live in. And he says we shouldn't argue about who's right and wrong.
I posted this to have place where I document the growth of this theory in the case that it does grow (and anyone can add to this, of course).
Odd stuff.

The Mandela Effect Will Blow Your Mind! Truth WarriorsI find this explanation much more clear than the one provided by Jesse Spots (by the way he is featured at length in the video at minute 34), who sucks at explaining things and goes all over the place, like a monkey in a gymn... all right basically, tell me I am stupid, but, whatever the reason, I cannot follow his train of thought at all, so I prefer to say that he's stupid than saying that I am stupid. But we can say that he sucks at explaining things. Otherwise how come I can understand every other YouTuber, regardless of their backgrounds? But I can't understand Jesse Spots. He doesn't take the time to explain things straight, and maybe he's even incapable of thinking straight. All this could be related to what Dr.Dunegan told us, in 1988 (first two tapes in link below), about Dr.Day's lecture to him and other doctors in 1969: drrichardday.wordpress.com/audio/I wrote something about it in my Illuminati thread: fsr.boards.net/thread/36/illuminatiBasically, Dr.Day in 1969 said that the Illuminati would be changing little details in books and street names (he did not mention movies, if I remembers correctly) to make older people feel like they're losing their memory, and this, together with an increased pace in technological changes, would be part of an agenda to make older people take the "demise pill". If you haven't listened to the first two tapes, you must absolutely do so. They are the most precious document on the Illuminati together with John Todd's tapes. So, at any rate, all your doubts should be solved now: it is done intentionally by the Illuminati to make old people feel like they're losing their memory, and they're obsolete and it's time to kill themselves. You could even take the link to these 2 YouTube videos (the first two tapes) and post it as a tip for all these Mandela Effect theorists. They will be very grateful, provided they're patient enough to listen to these two tapes: drrichardday.wordpress.com/audio/Now that everything is clear again, the first thing to do should be to stop calling this the "Mandela Effect", because it is very misleading. It is as if I decided to call the "flat earth" as "the Eric Dubay Effect", and then went on to define the "Dubay effect" as "how some people see discrepancies in various scientific theories...". It's not the "Mandela Effect". It is the "old things being changed by the Illuminati Effect".

I have started watching the embedded video but it will take me some time to go thru that and maybe your other links. That being said, as of right now I think a lot of people's memories have been influenced by popular culture changing or mixing minor things up. Such as with the Vador not saying, Luke, I am your father", but, "No, I am your father". In pop culture people would easily get the reference to Star Wars, if the name Luke was used rather than the word "no". That is just one example that I think makes sense.
Now, what currently seems reasonable to me about these relatively minor conflicting memories is that they are being made into something larger than what it is. This could have been intentional for many years to then further exploit it or these naturally conflicting memories could be being exploited now.
If this was somehow intentional I think the popular "mandela effect" examples may possibly be caused by subliminal programming or neuro-linguistic programming. People say there's no evidence NLP works but I have read that advertisers use NLP.
In one youtube comment someone says the NWO did the name changes of Berenstain Bears, I saw a response that said something like, 'so, the NWO broke into your house and changed the books"? That answer in the context I recall reading it implies something supernatural would have been the cause (differing timelines). Yet, it also could be subliminal influence, NLP, and memory shaped by popular media misquoting, or mispronunciation. Rather than timelines shifting for individuals or groups. Possibly the links above touch on some of this. In regards to NLP you can even influence others by how you state things or question someone. That is something detectives ought to understand. And it's also how people can be influenced by NLP and hypnosis. Also, a state of confusion can make people more suggestible.

With this theory, how can we use the outside world to verify any facts now? You point to anything and anyone could say, different timelines, apparently this would be more believable for people the larger the group is that remembers something relatively similar.
You can't use the objective world as a source of reality checking. Additionally, what's even more unbelievable to me is that each person is to take their memories of a reality in their timeline, as something that really happened in an external and objective world.
So, it isn't subjectivism as I recall Jesse Spots saying, it is isolated people, along with groups of people, all experiencing overlapping objective timelines.
We could no longer verify recent history in this scenario. How could we? I don't see how we could. That's what bothers me about this being taken so far.

Yes, as I said, I think these theorists are mostly going in the wrong direction. The first problem is the wrong name of "Mandela Effect", because the Nelson Mandela case is just a case of people remembering wrongly, and it is probably not a coincidence that the name stuck -- the powers that be want it this way.
I am confident that soon this will get back on track for what it is, after discarding the cases of ignorance like Mandela's case.
You see, the Wikipedia entry (and "Mandela Effect" concept), just like every other "conspiracy theory" Wikipedia entry, is manipulated by the secret services, in a way to discredit our findings.
So, just as Lee Harvey Oswald killed JFK, and Bin Laden did 911 (you can verify this on Wikipedia), and every other theory is nonsense, on Wikipedia they don't call this "the theory that the Illuminati are changing details of past books, movies, and street names". They will call it the "Mandela Effect" instead and describe it in a way as to imply that people are misremembering things.
And they have picked the one example that sways people into the direction of considering this a case of misremembering things, because Mandela did indeed die in 2013, informed people have always known this to be true, and there's no debate about this, and all those who remember differently are just normal ignorant people. At the same time, the secret services that control all these "conspiracy theory" entries make sure that all the other clues (those listed in the video I posted) do not show on the entry, clues that would make it clear that these changes are indeed being made, intentionally and secretly. So this is how "Mandela Effect" is working in making people think that it's a case of "idiots/ignorant people misremembering" rather than things actually being changed.
I am confident this will soon get back on track like all other issues being discussed by "conspiracy theorists", and that it will be renamed to something that is not misleading. Such as "the Illuminati are secretly renaming things, as predicted by Dr. Day in 1969".

I noticed that he specifically says at the time he started the project his son was a big fan of the Berenstain Bears book, The Spooky Old Tree. Then he says his son is currently convinced the book is a little too scary for himself, but the dad is sure it is only temporary.
So, it's his son's favorite book at the beginning of the project but after it was all made his son is convinced that the book is a little too scary for himself? And the dad says he is sure it is only temporary?
It went from his favorite book to thinking it is too scary for himself?

You might be interested in reading and even participating in this thread on our neighboring forum, where they share your ideas about the "mandela effect - alternate timeline" concept (whereas, as I said, I think this is all about the "Illuminati renaming things to make you feel like you're losing your memory"): flatearthtruth.freeforums.net/thread/145/mandela-effect-alternate-time-lineJust don't tell them that you're one of the few active members here, because I have banned half of the people from that forum, due to their badmouthing me at their forum.

haha, I don't believe in the different timelines stuff. I am interested in what is going on with this as I think the major problem is that the theory/idea creates a situation where there is no way to verify reality. Whether it's true or not, I am most interested in people's beliefs and the effects of those beliefs this may have.
Although, the sci-fi thriller part of me likes the idea of some sort of spooky theory. The timeline theory seems like complete nonsense to me. To some degree I am open to weird ideas like this, but when I read people's comments on their beliefs in the different timelines, they come across as not very bright (at best). Now, I am more open to your idea, but I am also open to something spooky too, but different timelines is interesting to me because I find the people who easily believe in this to be very interesting.
The things PMN says is the most thought provoking but I am not sure what his theory is. If it is the Illuminati just re-naming things than this is gaslighting, which is interesting in itself. I think it's possible it's even creepier than that. But at the same token, the realistic side of me thinks all this could be one or more of these things, faulty memory, subliminal images/messages, hypnosis and NLP from tv/media and maybe some sort of psychological/social mirroring along with suggestibility. All those things would be naturalistic.
An even simpler conspiracy; it could be that people naturally misremember all sorts of different things, and sometimes whole groups of people happen to misremember the same general thing. This natural state of affairs is being exploited and the Mandela Effect is being used to cause doubt about objective reality. Whole continents can move in a human life time!
I like this video and how the guy almost laughs about that mandela effect website. It cracked me up. He has more dislikes than likes.

Now PNM took down all his videos. Or set them all to private.
It really irritates me people can get copyright strikes for showing clips of others videos or movies for commentary purposes. I am guessing it isn't a coincidence this happened when russianvids was just taken down. Video is a visual means of communicating information. We can quote books and have commentary on that but video means of information, we have to worry about. I think video clips are simply a visual quotation for the purposes of commentary.

Good thing we've been writing titles and user, so when videos disappear, we know what video we posted.
It happens very frequently, and it shows that a YouTuber should have several accounts, to diversify this risk.

My Gut Feeling on the Mandela Effect Jesse SpotsPublished on Oct 16, 2015 In this video Jesse Spots says between the month of Nov and Dec 2014 he experienced some phenomenon with the sun where it appeared indirect sunlight was turned off and only direct sunlight was on, thereby reducing the gradient in shadows and creating sharp edges for shadows. He says children agreed with his observation but parents didn't. He says maybe the parents were to afraid, etc. If this last that long for me I would have documented it with my camera and made videos of it as well. I have not seen or heard of any documentation of this that he may have. I am simply documenting the growth of this theory, as well as the believer's logic, especially within the FE movement.

About 20 minutes on the "Mandela Effect" concept (which I totally disagree with), starting at minute 32:
Patricia Steere w/Orphan Red (Sasha). #24. Flat Earth & Other Hot Potatoes Flat Earth and other hot potatoes
By the way, Steere has it right. As Dunegan explained, it is the Illuminati changing little details to make us feel we're having memory problems. It's got nothing to do instead with a parallel reality, as Orphan Red says.
Wrong, Steere has not understood it either, as she clarifies to me by something she says later. Useless to write a message to either, since this is not about research but about entertainment.
Mark Sargent and Patricia Steere brought to flat earth the concept of infotainment, just as Alex Jones brought it to conspiracy theories.

Oh, damn... more time wasted talking about the so-called Mandela Effect, which described something that does not exist and it is propagated by the Illuminati, on Wikipedia to begin with. Beware, any conspiracy theory that is allowed on Wikipedia should be regarded as suspicious. This is a fad, misnomer, and it was partly created to hide the fact that the Illuminati are simply changing the past and little details to make us feel forgetful:
Perceptions 9 - Interview with Sasha from Orphan Red markksargent
They waste over a dozen minutes talking about it, right from the start. OK, they may not be agents, but simply retarded unmotivated truthers.
