Curvature of the earth formula:

Horizon curves by sqrt(radius^2+distance^2)-radius

drop = SQRT(A^2+B^2)-A

where:
"A" is the radius of the earth (in inches)
"B" is the distance (in inches)
you get your result in inches

Or you can do everything in miles, but everything has to be done in the same unit of measurement.

To make a long story short, at minute 10:30 we find out that the sun is 6,654 km away from the earth.

REMINDER (TO DO):
However, regarding the angles at which those two places see the sun, we should also carefully check if this could not be the case on a sphere, not because I believe in a sphere, but because it would strengthen our argument. She mentions this aspect, too, after minute 10:30, but I did not fully understand why that angle could not be seen on a sphere.
