Principles of Dharmic Governance
DharmaNation
(I'm not expecting a discussion on this. Just posting it as I am interested in religion and human society)
I know nothing about this guy or this group. Although, I think I read somewhere he is Italian. Anyway, I thought this interesting and some of it made sense. Dharma rule is based on natural law, and natural law is from God. The Dharma ruler/s ought to be wise and sage or saint-like but also have strength like a warrior. This was interesting to me because it seems to goes along with my theory on the world being based on both strength and sacrifice.
He mentions that the system is so corrupt that corruption is rewarded. If this has not been true in all of history, it would help explain to me why we have no good leaders, hardly any good bosses even.
His group has a book, "The Dharma Manifesto" and it mostly has a high rating but one reviews makes me think I will end up disregarding what he says. Although he seems very smart and sincere in his beliefs.
This is the review which points out the pros and cons of the ideas of the book.
Ideas I like~
A society based on merit.
The leaders and those with authority, especially the ruler, will have to be able to dharmically rule. This then sets an example for the behaviors of everyone in society from the top down. Whereas it seems now it is those without authority that often have more responsibility put on them and those with authority have less accountability. So, those with higher values and virtues will be rewarded in this society.
I also like that cities ought to look like gardens with gardens everywhere, with groves and sacred groves, along with fruit bearing trees throughout human towns and cities. Dharmic society supposedly will encourage nature within urban areas.
He espouses something called Dharmic Nationalism, I'm not sure what that is, and in the review I provided above this could be questionable for me. But it is a better idea than a one world government.
I like the values of quality over quantity. The development of family businesses. It looks like a mixture of decentralized local power but also with a top down ruler (not sure how that makes sense yet or if I understand that correctly). The society would be pro family.
Regarding Eric Dubay's eastern pursuits, I wondered if he should watch this video about Dharmic leadership. I thought it might have been something he'd be interested in, then I remembered, he is some sort of anarchist.
