I am not totally against someone having a donate button. Public television and public radio asks for money at times too. But these are individuals asking for money. I will still listen to whoever I choose whether they ask for money or not. I don't think these types of channels should ask for donations only because the subject matter creates a conflict with interests with regard to accuracy, truth and money. Maybe instead, if they are creating a sizable audience they could get some sponsors but that creates a conflict of interests as well. At least, it isn't begging the audience for money concerning their personal problems. |

Now that I think of it, I am for both internet begging and for asking for donations, so I am in fact in favor of Jeranism, MrThriveAndSurvive and whoever else in the flat earth community is doing this. Whoever needs money should ask for money, because by receiving it, he will not be forced to do something worse, such as working at a bank, like I am doing. In fact, it is better to give our money to Jeranism than to give it to public television. He is doing a better job at informing us. However, I still state what I said before, that I trust more who isn't asking for money than those who are, because I know that when TigerDan925 or even Eric Dubay (who is clearly not pressured by financial concerns) put out more videos, it is because they have something to say. Whereas I did notice that when Jeranism and MrThriveAndSurvive put out new videos, most of the time, it is some sensationist titles ("incredible!" and so on) and catchy colors, with very little content. It is basically closer to infotainment. Basically I approve of their asking for money, but I notice that their need for money makes them upload many more videos than they're able to create thoughtfully. Not all those who ask for money have this problem of turning their videos into " infotainment" or even just entertainment. For example, TheMorgile makes very useful and thoughtful videos (even audiobooks, which caused him to lose subscribers) and yet he also asks for donations. |

I know he is fakeclouds insky now. He said he was, in a video of his that I watched last night. I remember him disappearing off youtube. That was when it was a just a small number of flat earth videos. I like that he is back.

I was expecting some excellent video by FakeSpaceman, but I have to say that throughout the video and especially at minutes 6-7 Jeranism and TheMorgile make some very convincing points about their excellent morality. I am now in their favor, although of course FakeSpaceman is quite likable.
