I will be commenting on Southern Israelite's above two videos.
In the second video, "Jeranism: A LIAR!- Flat Earth" SI says:
"I'm sorry dude. That's what the Bible says, and it makes sense to me" (1:45).
"This man is just lying his ass off throughout the whole radio program" (2:25).
These two comments in the second video kind of summarize what SI is going to say in the first video. First that SI does take the Bible as the standard of morality in contradistinction to Jeran. Secondly, and perhaps unfairly and falsely, SI attributes many arguments to Jeran which Jeran did not make, nor can we be certain that what SI says is actually Jeran's position. So far from SI proving that Jeran is a liar, what SI is actually showing us is that he is guilty of the pot calling the kettle black.
I think that both Jeran and SI got off on the wrong foot. Obviously SI must not have read Dale Carnegie's book,
How to Win Friends and Influence People. Either that or SI is trying to be true to his principles. I think that SI correctly assessed their debate situation as Jeran always interrupting SI with verses and trying to get SI to respond to them/him without SI being able to fully state his case. Well in the first video it does seem like SI adequately makes his case. However, it may be a non-sequitur to say that this scenario logically derives from Jeran's position.
Okay, now with some statements/comments from the first video, "Review of Debate With Jeranism - Flat Earth Apologist."
"All they are doing is saying that they don't like me" (2:15). I think SI just has an insecurity complex with a statement like this.
"No one could address anything that I said" (2:30). Really?
"I would just start racking off the evidence" (2:42). Perhaps in this video, but not the actual debate video.
"Every single time, he would speak over me, interrupt me in the middle of it, so it all wouldn't come out" (2:45). True. It wasn't clear at the time I listened to the debate video, so I'm glad that SI had the clarity to point that out now.
"Mr. Campanella, And let's see who is the one who is off the rocker. Is it me or is it you?" (3:07). I think that it might be possible for these two to actually come to some kind of understanding, however they would actually have to be able to communicate with one another. Jeran said that he has issues with the Bible. I do too. However, Jeran did not say that his morality doesn't stem from the bible. So I think SI is being rather unfair in painting Jeran with the brush of the global elite's agenda.
I agree with SI position that men and women are not created equal. The Bible states that they simply have different roles in the family (Ephesians 5:21-25,33). "Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church; and he is the savior of the body. Therefore, as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it... Nevertheless, let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife, see that she reverence her husband."
There is no room for the liberated female in the bible. No mention of it at all. It is not a principle to be found in the bible, but rather in the global elite's agenda. The net effect of the global elite's suffrage and feminism agenda has been to destroy the family and creating more workers to be taxed. This is not simply my opinion but was so stated by the elite as quoted by the late Aaron Russo in the following video:
Feminism Was Created To Destabilize Society, Tax Women and set up the NWO - Aaron Russo.
"We the Rockefellers funded that. We funded women's lib... And you want to know why? There were two primary reasons." 1. Couldn't tax half the population. 2. Now we get the kids in school at an early age. We can indoctrinate the kids how to think. Plus it breaks up the family.
"The CIA funded Miss Magazine with the stated goal of taxing women and breaking up the family" (1:30).
And for his troubles the
CIA killed aaron russo.
"After many threats, Russo died on August 24, 2007 silently in his home. The official news is that the cancer somehow cause[d] the heart attack or a stroke. According to his close[st] friends, it was a planned assassination which was later proved to be [true]" (5:41).
And so SI proves his points about the "liberated female." Incidence, prevalence, and cost of sexually transmitted infections in the United States. "The sexual liberation of women was required for her
economic equality" (8:20).
"Has resulted in 110 million people in our country infected with a STD" (8:35). "This is like a plague/pestilence.
"She has destroyed the family" (8:57). Bachelor Nation: 70% of men aged 20-34 are not married.
The equality of women? In what sense? Equality to be a slave in the workforce along with men. Women have by and large taken the bait for this economic equality, but in doing so have fallen from grace--the elevated position they had before. And now are they more liberated??? I think not.
"Hundreds of millions of babies aborted."
"Sex slaves/human trafficking/pornography industry/economic opportunity for women??" (min. 10-12)
Single motherhood. "At any one time almost 1/4 of mothers are single mothers."
"So we see that it is perfectly rational for the Bible to give man a position of supremacy in society, seeing that he has the supreme accomplishments and supreme responsibility in society. It is his body and his blood which is being broken and shed for the comfort of civilization that women get to enjoy" (12:35).
"And because of that women should have a position of subordination because it is a give and take" (13:40). This is consistent with the biblical position of Ephesians 5.
"Fellas, so what the bible is saying is perfectly rational and in perfect accord with the physical reality that exists in human civilization" (14:25).
"Now Jeran wants to distinguish himself from... the system that we live in right now. He obviously wants to say that this is all a big conspiracy... [It is] and that this small group of people are pulling all these strings [they are] and he is the victim here. No, Mr. Campanella, the ideas that you talked about--these are the ideas that built this system. This is your baby" (14:30).
The Bible is a moral compass. No doubt about that. However, while Jeran may have his own morality he may have thrown out the baby with the bathwater. Are there absolute standards? I believe there are. Just the statement that there are no absolutes is an absolute.
The ideas: freedom of religion, all men are created equal, individual sovereignty and self ownership, abolition of philosophy of the civil war (?), the sexual revolution, social economic equality of women, racial integration.
"These are your ideas/your baby" (18:00).
"The plantation was the only way to compete with the north/an industrial society."
"You would have to go to war to defend that." I don't think that SI adequately defends this position.
Deuteronomy 21:10-14 The woman taken captive. The treatment of a conquered people/the biblical view (18:20). Compare this to "Now let's look at what your people believe, Mr. Campanella, on how to treat the women of a conquered nation. I'm in my book
A Defense of the South Against the JESUIT Counter Reformation" (19:47). Here SI actually shows that his real argument is not necessarily with Jeran, but with the global elite's agenda. The title of his book shows who the real culprits are--the JESUITS!!
"I'm gonna feed you humble pie" (20:32). The humble pie would be much more effective if SI were refuting Jeran's actual position rather than an assumed position.
"There has to be some objective standard involved" (25:55). Point already made.
