Of all the sources I have looked at, the most pleasant (since Robison's "Proofs of a Conspiracy against all the Religions and Governments of Europe, carried on by secret meetings of Free Masons, Illuminati and Reading Societies, collected from good authorities by the Author, Professor of Natural Philosophy and Secretary of the Royal Society of Edinburgh" is a bit heavy for me) and yet also reliable is John Todd. I believe he narrates the Illuminati in a truthful, informative and very intelligible manner, like all sincere people. Another great source is Dr.Dunegan speaking about Dr.Day's revelations:

Now we either believe John Todd is a fraud or we believe what he says, and then the Illuminati are not Jews (nor Zionists). Obviously I am not going impose my belief on you. (I am not Jew by the way, so no conflict of interest here). But I am showing you the source, just in case anyone hasn't heard him before.
But I'll agree with you that the Rothschilds are leading the Illuminati and that they are hiding "behind" Israel, but just the same way they are hiding behind the US government. And in the same way as there are Satanic (or Masonic, I am not exactly an expert in this field) symbols in Israel's flag, there are also on the US flag. But as John Todd says the Rothschilds have not been Jews for hundreds of years. They are Satanists.
Sorry, I just realized that I don't have the quote where he says that the Rothschilds have not been Jews for hundreds of years and that he is Scottish and that the leading Illuminati families (13) are not Jewish. I am looking for it in here:
