I found a good website, where I can get some statistical data on YouTube channels. Maybe I will find more in the future. For now let us start with this: vidstatsx.com/TheNASAchannel/videos-most-recentAs you can see in the image above, Matthew Boylan's channel doubled its subscribers in just 90 days, going from about 6k to about 12k. Eric Dubay did even better, according to my own memory, because 3 months ago he had about 4,000 subscribers, and now he has above 13,000. So, certainly we can say that flat earth is on the rise. For a comparison of Matthew Boylan (who still grew much less than Eric Dubay), let us see how he compares to a debunker's channel, The Alien Fossil Project, which started with 14,600 subscribers 3 months ago and now has 15,600, an increase of 7%, when Matt Boylan has doubled in the same period (and Eric Dubay has tripled): Here's a chart comparison of new daily subscribers in the last 4 weeks:

Still doing my flat earth YouTubers comparison. I've automated it with php and excel, and here's the result of my top flat earth YouTubers by subscribers count, four days after my previous check. The biggest gainers are TheMorgile, with 3.3% and Jeranism, with 3.1%. I saw this coming, because they're the two most active flat earthers. Also, they both belong to my "smooth-talking flat earth YouTubers" chart, and that helps get subscribers, too. And they both come from marketing jobs, and that obviously helps. Since it is harder for the big ones than for the small ones to grow (with the same percentage increase ratios), the real winner is Jeranism, who grew almost as fast as TheMorgile, but he has twice as many subscribers (they're both getting subscribers from the same number of YouTube viewers). Nothing changed in the ranking of the top 10 flat earth YouTubers (by subscribers) on the left tab: I mean, the numbers changed, by a few hundreds, but I can't keep changing those every day. But the ranking didn't change, so that's what counts, because when it will change I will modify it. ----------------- Another interesting comparison is to compare the Flat Earthers to the Debunkers. We see that, whereas in these four days the top ten Flat Earthers have grown an average of 1.7% in subscribers, the top ten debunkers have only grown by 0.4%: This could mean a number of things, and combination thereof: 1) that YouTube viewers looking up "flat earth" (and similar) are more enthusiastic about watching flat earth videos, than debunking videos. 2) Related to #1, is also the fact that maybe these viewers are more prone to doing so, because in order to debunk flat earth, viewers can simply watch mainstream science, which can be found in many more places, practically everywhere. Whereas, in order to debunk mainstream science, viewers can only go to flat earth YouTubers. (I think this is the most probable one). 3) that those producing flat earth videos are more active and enthusiastic than those producing debunking videos, and this in turn produces more subscribers. This, too, could be. There are certainly more reasons that I am not seeing right now. Jeff C for some reason stopped showing his freeradiorevolution subscribers, maybe it is temporary, so I will wait before removing that channel from the top of the debunkers chart (on the right sidebar).

One day before the end of one week since my first statistical inspection, Jeranism looks like he will be the big winner of the week. Another two weeks like this one and he will pass Matt Boylan, and be in third place, after Russianvids and Eric Dubay.

And the biggest gainer of the week is Jeranism: At this rate of growth, in just two more weeks he will pass Matt Boylan and rise to third place.

In just 24 hours, Jeranism has gained 1.4% of subscribers, which implies a monthly growth of 51%, and it's a little faster than the rate at which Eric Dubay has grown in the past six months: And also the rise by MrThriveAndSurvive is normal, in that they both are the most active flat earth YouTubers right now. Russianvids is also active, but he doesn't grow as fast. Probably because this high growth is in flat earth, and he only makes flat earth videos every once in a while. TheMorgile is not active, but he grows nonetheless. He said he is in marketing as a job, so maybe he found a way to promote his videos on the right places, and, since he gets so many views on those, those videos bring the subscribers. Some people get subscribers by making new videos all the time, and he gets subscribers by having a lot of hits on the fewer videos that he makes, probably by promoting them better -- I don't see any other explanation for all hits he gets. Actually, I just realized. They are much longer, and also more dense in content, and certainly both characteristics help. The other two tend to explain less and do more videos to keep their audience entertained and alive. Their rule is to make one video per day. His rule to make long documentaries each time. Unless Matt Boylan makes a new video, his TheNASAchannel will be passed by jeranism in about 10 days. At this rate, in less than one month jeranism will be a bigger YouTuber than Eric Dubay, too (see attachment).

The big moment has arrived, when Jeranism has reached (and in a few minutes will pass) Matt Boylan. Probably he succeeded in this one week in advance thanks to a little help from Eric Dubay, who posted that defaming video by that girl who hosted Matt Boylan. Indeed, because of it, Matthew Boylan is the big YouTuber who has grown less in the past 3 days. In the last 3 days, Matth Boylan has gained 30 subscribers, and Jeranism 300. This is really odd, and is obviously only explained by the video (also because I've been looking at these stats for weeks and I have a feel for them). Having said this, Jeranism's rate of growth has always been much higher than Matt Boylan, simply because he got all these subscribers after being on YouTube for just 6 months (yes!), whereas Matt Boylan gained those subscribers in several years. So, the growth rate of Jeranism is such that he will kick everyone's ass within just a few more months. He will be the top Flat Earth YouTuber within 4 more months. In two months he will pass Eric Dubay, and in 4 months he will pass Russianvids. Tomorrow I will update all the YouTubers on the left, and also the debunkers, on the right floating tab, because David Ridlen has just been passed by Reds Rhetoric (I will post more details in the debunkers thread). Not in the top ten Flat Earth YouTubers, but right below them, it has to be mentioned that waykiwayki has been growing very fast, the fastest of all top 30 flat earth YouTubers. Obviously he will slow down, but if he kept growing at this rate, he could be in the top 5 within less than a month.

Here below (see picture attached) is the latest update on the subscribers of the major flat earth YouTubers. Before I show you the results, let me remind you that my assessment is that the general rule is as follows: 1) no voice heard, no face shown: 1x potential for growth 2) voice hear, but face not shown: 2x potential for growth (twice as good a previous) 3) voice heard, face shown: 4x potential for growth Given such assessment, the trend has been that, as expected, the original flat earth YouTubers, who've been around for over a year, but don't like to speak and don't like to show their faces, are gradually being passed by a new generation of flat earthers who are speaking and in many cases also showing their faces, and who, much more than their predecessors, are interested in making money from this activity: Examples: famous historical flat earthers like jhenningkelloggia, my perspective, freeanergy, Zetetic Flat Earth, Immortalsouls, all not talking and not showing their faces, are being surpassed by more recent flat earthers like Mark Sargent, Jeranism, MrThriveAndSurvive, TheMorgile and waykiwayki, who have no problems talking and talking, and in some cases showing their faces. For the long term future, judging from what I have been seeing, statistically, I would bet on these following names (listed by present subscribers): 1) Jeranism 2) MrThriveAndSurvive 3) TheMorgile 4) waykiwayki They could very well be the top 4 flat earthers a year from now. Basically it is a group of aggressive smooth-talking salesmen. Mark Sargent is not aggressive enough to be in this group. He's definitely smooth-talking, but his growth is showing that something is missing in his performance, or maybe he's just as good as them, but he's been hurt by so much criticism by Eric Dubay. His statistics are showing that he will soon be passed by MrThriveAndSurvive, and by others, because his growth is not high enough. Eric Dubay will fall, too. He is too aggressive (on his forum in particular) and he's not smooth-talking enough. He's getting very unpopular, especially due to his forum, his success as a guru is getting to his head, and is causing him to act in a way that is making him lose most of his fans (certainly those he bans from his forum). Russianvids might stay there at the top, because he already has so many subscribers (so even if he grows at the same rate as the others, he has an advantage) and because he gets subscribers from a wide range of mainstream conspiracy theories, which the others aren't covering. So this is the way I see the top 10 chart a year from now: Russianvids jeranism MrThriveAndSurvive waykiwayki TheMorgile Eric Dubay markksargent TheNASAchannel Stars are Souls Cae sar I think Eric Dubay will get to a point where he will start losing subscribers. Otherwise I could not explain why he would fall in sixth position, below all these new YouTubers. But I think that within a few months, the negativity he's been spreading and hate he has been preaching will hit him like a boomerang, and he will actually start losing subscribers. A warning sign was his latest video, where the guru Eric Dubay has, for the first time, become a minority on his own YouTube channel: Math Powerland (Matt Boylan) ExposedMy prediction is that Eric won't accept appearing unpopular (due to the unfavorable "dislikes" on this video), and, with some excuse (such as the fact that he suspects the girl of being a "shill"), he will remove this video. Probably he will do so in about one month, so not admit defeat, and he will do so, after this video will be forgotten as in one month it will have been followed and overshadowed by several more videos posted. His strength so far was that he was popular. He was an asshole but he was popular. But he's been an asshole to too many people and for too long, and now he's becoming an unpopular asshole. Another two months and Jeranism will surpass him in subscribers. Another four months and MrThriveAndSurvive will pass him, too. Waykiwayki and TheMorgile will need another year to pass him.

Here above is the latest update. Everything is developing according to the following pattern. When flat earth was relatively unknown, the big YouTubers were people who didn't record their voice and did not show their face (in the image, they are shown without any highlighting in their names). Now that flat earth has become more mainstream, those YouTubers have been steadily following in the top flat earthers chart, in favor of YouTubers who at least talk in their videos. In the top 10 there are only two non-talking flat earthers left (Jimmy Henning started talking only very recently in his videos), and they are steadily following in positions. Since this is not the only variable, I cannot demonstrate that also showing your face (in the list, these YouTubers are highlighted in pink) is a factor that increases your subscribers, but I think it is. For example, MrThriveAndSurvive has been the fastest growing flat earth YouTuber and this might be one of the reasons why.

It all proceeds according to my predictions, and today MrThriveAndSurvive has passed Mark Sargent: In a week TheMorgile will pass Jimmy Henning. In two weeks waykiwayki will pass Jimmy Henning, who will then be out of the top ten, because he didn't usually record his voice and was not very active for the past few months. This is all normal and explained.

Given that the biggest YouTuber has about 20,000 subscribers and that there's about ten of them with more than 5,000 subscribers, and that many YouTube users subscribe to several channels... my estimate is that there are about 50,000 flat earthers on YouTube, all over the world, so basically 50,000 flat earthers all over the web. Just a year ago, it was probably like 5,000 in total.

Of the original top ten flat earthers of the pre-Dubay era (before the 19th of December, 2014, when he uploaded his big documentary), only three are left in the top ten today: TheNASAchannel, Stars are Souls, Cae sar. You can also see them on the floating sidebar on the left side, here below I marked them with a red square around their icon: They all got wiped out because they were not recording their voices in their videos, which causes videos to be less popular and gets you fewer subscribers. And of course also because they weren't uploading videos as frequently as the new flat earthers who passed them, such as Jeranism and MrThriveAndSurvive.

Bingo! Remember how I told you on this thread that adding your face in your YouTube video gets you 4x subscribers and adding your voice gets you 2x subscribers? And uploading no videos gets you very few new subscribers? Well, early flat earth YouTubers such as my perspective and jhenningkelloggia, who were the biggest stars six months ago, but who weren't following these rules, were falling very fast in the top ten chart (and are now out of it), but lately they have wised up and have started making videos with their own voices. A month ago it was jhenningkelloggia's turn, and now, for the first time, it is my perspective, who records a video (in two parts) with his voice (instead of that loud music he always used): Flat Earth Universe part 1 my perspectiveFlat Earth Universe part 2 my perspective I guess they did not like to be forgotten, the way it's been gradually happening in the last six months. In fact my perspective and jhenningkelloggia were the two biggest flat earth YouTubers of the pre-Dubay era, and are now out of the top ten (by subscribers).

Things are not looking good for Cae Sar, since he will be passed within 48 hours by TheMorgile, who has been growing much faster than him, and will take his ninth position. It's worth mentioning that Cae Sar is the only non-speaking flat earther who is still in the top ten. All other flat earthers in the top ten of YouTubers (by subscribers) talk in their videos. As I wrote before, this plays a huge role in subscribers, because if you talk in your videos you double your potential subscribers. Cae Sar is still there because he uploaded a very large number of videos. Things are looking very bright instead for odiupicku, who only has 1,000 subscribers, but has achieved the highest rate of growth of all flat earth YouTubers, with a 10% in less than 4 days. With compounding, that reaches 100% per month. Odiupicku is none other than cikljamas on the Flat Earth Society forum: www.theflatearthsociety.org/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=780124Other than that, I will state once again that the long term future seems to belong to Jeranism, MrThriveAndSurvive and TheMorgile, who are the most easygoing people in the flat earth community, together with Mark Sargent, who however, surprisingly for me, has been on his way down for months, in terms of relative ranking, and as far as can be predicted by his rate of growth. Of course all flat earth YouTubers are growing in their absolute number of subscribers.

Remember how I told you that TheMorgile would pass Cae Sar? It took one day longer than I predicted, but it happened: Cae Sar is the only surviving top ten flat earther who doesn't talk in his videos. All the other non-talking YouTubers fell out of the top ten. There must be a reason. I believe that talking doubles your potential subscribers.

Interesting news today, because after hearing more Rob Skiba and especially more TigerDan925, I have realized that they belong in the top ten of Flat Earth YouTubers. They never fully came out as flat earthers, but they keep uploading excellent pro-flat earth videos, so I can no longer keep these two out of the top ten chart. So here's the new chart as of today: TigerDan925 has about 18,000 subscribers, so now Eric Dubay falls in third position. Certainly not the flat earth leader anymore. Pretty soon he will say that TigerDan925 is a shill, too, if he hasn't already said so.

Latest update: Who do I hope will win? Let's do some brainstorming. Russianvids (superficial) TigerDan925 (superficial) Eric Dubay (dishonest, delusional, paranoid) jeranism (superficial, seeking subscribers) TheNASAchannel (no new content since months ago) MrThriveAndSurvive (superficial, seeking subscribers) markksargent (not much knowledge, but good guests) Rob Skiba (good content, but a bit too religious) Stars are Souls (very bad at explaining things) dmurphy25 (superficial, cf. his incomplete tests on breatharianism) TheMorgile (annoying voice, but excellent reasoning) Cae sar (not enough explanations) jhenningkelloggia (good content, but too much music and religion) waykiwayki (best) I mean, they are all excellent YouTubers, don't get me wrong -- I am just being super-picky and critical, in order to identify the best one. I hope waykiwayki wins and gets to number one but he doesn't stand a chance right now. I think in the end it will be between MrThriveAndSurvive and Jeranism.

Of all the people in the current chart of the top 10 flat earth YouTubers, with the latest addition (as #1) of 7 TRUMPETS PREPPER, there is not one who doesn't speak in his videos, and there is only two (Jeranism and Russianvids) who do not show their face in at least some of their videos (even Dubay does it occasionally); It is very interesting how this new generation of flat earthers, lead by Eric Dubay, has quickly (in 6 months) surpassed (in subscribers) and replaced almost all the previous top ten flat earthers (except for Matt Boylan and Stars are Souls), who for the most part did not show their faces nor used their voices in their videos: Cae Sar, jhenningkelloggia, my perspective, Zetetic Flat Earth, Immortalsouls, freeanergy, etcetera.

Inexplicable (to me) performance by TigerDan925, who increased his subscribers by over 700 in less than 4 days, and with his last video uploaded already 5 days ago. He usually increases by only 100 subscribers per day. This is about double that amount, and without video uploads. The only relevant news is that he was strongly recommended by 7 TRUMPETS PREPPER in a video he uploaded 2 days ago, video which however did not get that many hits, only 700: Shout out for Flat Earth YouTuber's, their awesome channels and research 7 TRUMPETS PREPPER Then again if those 700 viewers of that video are 7 TRUMPETS' flat earth fans, then many of them might have listened to him and subscribed to TigerDan.

Very odd. Within just 5 hours, Cae Sar lost 6 subscribers, although he didn't upload any new videos in the last 2 days. Furthermore, he hasn't been losing subscribers for weeks, so it's not part of a larger trend. Also, no defamation of Cae Sar at IFERS. So, it might be something that's happening on Facebook.

Surprisingly, the number #2 in our top ten chart is out. Russianvids's account got "terminated" for copyright infringements: www.youtube.com/channel/UCgiwt2OxgArjIo2CW8cWJzA "Das Konto von Russianvids wurde gekündigt, weil wiederholt Urheberrechtsverletzungen im Hinblick auf das vom Nutzer hochgeladene Material von Dritten gemeldet wurden." translates to: "The account of Russian Vids was terminated because repeated copyright infringements with regard to the material uploaded by the user have been reported by others." Other than that, TigerDan925 doing great, as last week, increasing by almost 200 subscribers per day, for over a week in a row. jeranism getting closer and closer to Eric Dubay. In about a month he will pass him, and go to number #3. And Stars are Souls is still going down, due to his "last video". More here: fsr.boards.net/post/2654/thread

With more than 24 hours to go until Sunday, when the week will go close, I can anticipate that Flat Water has broken all records, with an increase in subscribers that will surpass 100%. Yes, he more than doubled his subscribers in one week, and not just starting from zero, but starting from 56: He is at 75% increase right now, but he has another 36 hours to go, and all he needs is 14 more subscribers to reach a 100% increase. It will happen for sure. Excellent performance also by FakeSpaceman InSpace, who will most likely increase by more than 35%, starting from 350 and reaching almost 500. Last week in the top ten chart for dmurphy25, who will probably be replaced by TheMorgile in one week.

Reminder for next weekI have to add to my excel list (and in one case to my left sidebar) these two flat earthers: Matthew Patrick WinfreyThis one will go straight to number 3, but I will add him only if he uploads at least two more flat earth videos (he has uploaded only one so far): Thecontroversy7 .

Lots of changes coming up in the flat earth YouTubers, especially in the top ten. In about one week, most likely, there will be a new entry, " Thecontroversy7 .", at number #3, with his 19,332 subscribers, who will cause everyone else to shift down by one. Details of upcoming changes are all written here, in this image below: TheMorgile will be out again, but not for long, because at this rate, in two weeks he will surpass Stars are Souls, who has stopped uploading videos for good, or so he said about two weeks ago. When that will happen, the only surviving pre-Dubay (pre-Dubay flat earth documentary) flat earther will be Matt Boylan, who was the first big flat earth YouTuber. But he will be in sixth place, on his way down, since he also has stopped uploading flat earth videos, ever since Dubay defamed him by uploading that audio where we hear him argue with that girl. The times when we had 10 flat earth YouTubers in total are very distant, and when there were, as on this post of March 31st, flat earth YouTubers with less than 1,000 subscribers: serendipitous.boards.net/post/80/threadIf I remember correctly, back then, Eric Dubay himself had only about 3,500 subscribers. Now he has 19,000, and that was just 7 months ago.

Damn, I gotta update all my files: excel, php and plugins all over again, because there is a new German flat earth channel, with as many as 16 thousand subscribers, who has already uploaded 2 flat earth videos. One is a full-fledged complete flat earth documentary: Die flache Erde Verschwörung : Flat Earth Conspiracy vegan&lecker The other one is the typical curvature balloon video: Der Tag an dem die Erde stillstand vegan&lecker He's going straight to number #6, right after Jeranism. This also means that now Stars and Souls is out of the top ten, and so the only surviving pre-Dubay flat earther is Matt Boylan, at #8. Who would have thought that in less than 12 months all the pre-Dubay flat earthers would be gone except one? vegan&lecker is also the only top ten flat earther who doesn't speak English in his videos. When I started this top ten on July 27yh, less than four months ago, #1 was Eric Dubay with 13,369. Now that number of subscribers is not even enough to be #10. Mark Sargent is tenth, with 13,538 subscribers. Back then Alen Fehir was tenth with just 4,513 subscribers. If we go back another 4 months, to March, 4,000 subscribers were enough for Eric Dubay to be number 2, after Matt Boylan, who back then had about 5,000 subscribers. By this rationale, number one 7 Trumpets Prepper's 27k subscribers in 4 months will not be enough to be number 10. This also happens because every once in a while there is a YouTuber who already has thousands of subscribers who becomes a flat earther.
